Just another day

Nothing much going on today. Ducky went to watch the Saints...he's in a good mood. (they won). Kat is watching TV, I'm cooking the pumpkin seeds of the pumpkin Ducky and Kat carved last night. I'm going to read the paper in a few, but that's it.

Ducky starts his new job tomorrow. I'm so, very, happy for him. I hope he likes it. I'm cooking BBQ chicken on the grill...green bean casserole, baked taters, baked beans, corn on the cob, and cheesecake.

Kat's 16 birthday is on Wednesday. I CAN NOT believe it. She is such a sweet girl and I couldn't have done better. (yea, I'm bragging on myself)

My parents house is built and they will move in sometime this week. Happy for them.

Life is good. What more can you want???

Daniel Got a job!!

He got a job. I'm so happy, pay check, benefits, stability. He is going to work for Capital One. I'm so happy for him. We went today and bought four suits, cause now he is a suit and tie person. That hurt a bit, 4 suits, shirts, ties, etc. But, it's worth it. He starts on Monday. I'm very proud of him.

The 73 inch TV will be here next week. YEE HAW!! I'm pretty stoked about it.

Kat will be 16 next Wednesday. We are throwing her a surprise party. It will be awesome, I hope. She just wants to hang with a few friends, but we are going to have everyone. People from MIS and LEHS. It's going to be awesome. We are going to give her the car...Honda Civic. She wants a Mustang, but didn't we all??? She'll like it. She will get her license in December, so, we are good to go.

My stitches come out on Friday. Very happy about that.

My parents move into their new house on Friday. Very happy for them. It is the perfect house for them.

Well, going to check air pressure in my bike, get ready for tomorrow, and finish dinner.

Have a great day, ya'll!!

It's a BROKEN ankle...It could be worse!

Yep, I've done it again. I was riding a demo yesterday on a small bike (250cc), my toe hit the ground in an awesome lean, flipped my ankle around and it hurt like a mother. Really didn't think much about it. Got home, got my boot off and took a nap. A couple hours later, I couldn't walk. I had a physical this morning so I had the ol' doc take a look. He sent me for x-rays and, lo and behold, broken. Little bone on the inside of my left ankle. What can you do?

Other than the broken bone I got this weekend, it was pretty awesome. Friday night, the girls and I went to the football game after the volleyball game. (they lost by 1) We had pizza and a movie when we got home. It was nice. (Daniel went out of town to his Dad's in East Texas this weekend). I worked on Saturday and Kat and Morgan went to spend the night at a friends house. I went out with my friend Scott. I went to instructor school with him and he lived in San Antonio and just moved to Ft. Worth. It was good to catch up and see an old friend.

Kat and Morgan are watching some fashion reality show on tv, Daniel just passed Canton and will be home in a couple of hours, and I'm here. I was supposed to get my grocery shopping done today, but with my stupid broke foot, I'll have to wait til Duck gets home. Just another Monday, hanging around the house.

My First Blog

Welcome, my Friends. I have decided to make a blog. I hope I become a writer that ya'll love to keep up with and read. I have made the decision that I want AND need to do it, so, bear with me, as I work through my thoughts, ideas, dreams, strengths and weaknesses. I hope to supply you with information, laughs, tears and everything in between. I will post pictures and videos. My hope is that you get to know me better, keep in touch, and maintain our current relationships. (and maybe make new friends). So, with that being said...here goes....Here is where my life is now...

So, Kat's friend, Morgan, is pretty much living with us now. It's a weird situation and Daniel and I are not sure where the boundaries are. There is much drama going on at her house so she stays here. She makes good grades, plays volleyball and is totally boy crazy. So, the drama begins. Kat, on the other hand, is also making great grades in all AP classes, plays volleyball, and horses are her passion. She has a boy she kind of likes and he kind of likes her, and so far, I approve of their relationship (his name is Daniel.. HAHA). He seems like a good kid and Kat has proven she is too. Kat and Morgan love each other one day, hate each other the next...hence, the sister relationship. I picked them up from volleyball, dropped them off at the football game and just picked them up. They are mad because I only ordered ONE pizza and wings instead of two pizzas with what they each wanted. FIRST of all, I ordered what I wanted and I don't care what they want. So, IN YA FACE!! So, Morgan will be a part of my blog..FYI...

So, Daniel went to East Texas today to his Dad's place. 16 acres, log home, front porch with rocking chairs that overlooks a huge pasture with trees and hills. BEAUTIFUL. I couldn't go cause I have to work tomorrow. Such is life, right? Daniel still hasn't found a job, but all is good. I kind of like him being home to get Kat and Morgan, run them around, clean house, do errands, etc. When I come home, house is clean, laundry done, kids taken care of and then it's all about me!! Ya gotta love that!!

Tomorrow, Kat is going to be at home doing chores, cleaning, homework, etc. I will be working. After work, I am meeting a friend of mine from Houston that just moved here. I can't wait to catch up. On Sunday, after work, the girls and I are doing the Halloween decorations. I decorate for Christmas, but, Halloween, it's my day. I'm behind this year, but it will be done.

Kat's 16th birthday is October 29. HUGE Sweet 16 party. Although she thinks she is on MTV and I have a million dollars to spend, she is going to have a great party. It will be fun. I'll give you more details, as they work out.

So, not much, but a pretty good start, right? I'll do good, I promise!!
Peace out, and always remember, Grease is the word!!
